Thanks a million Vince Cable. Not!
From 1st January 2015, brand new changes to VAT rules mean that many UK small businesses will stop supplying online/digital products to the EU.
This will include me.
I will not be able to provide Virtual Assistant or WordPress Website Design services to anyone outside of the UK from that date.
As the majority of my client base is UK, this won’t really impact me for VA services.
However, this whole VATMOSS #VATMESS malarkey will seriously affect my plans for growing my business in 2015.
2015 was going to be a BIG year for Super Secretary. A brand new range of waffle-free online tutorials, ebooks and quick fixes.
Yes, I can still develop this side to my business BUT I am missing out on a massive new audience which has really made me angry – and many others! (Read the millions of #VATMOSS #VATMESS tweets out there!)
No doubt you’re in the same situation: you’ve worked your butt off for a while now; things are going great and then…this!
Until I know just what VATMOSS entails and if I need to take the steps to embrace it, Super Secretary will offer Virtual Assistance and WordPress Website Design to UK-based businesses only…
I wholeheartedly apologise to my fellow Europeans for any inconvenience but please do watch this space. I’m simply biding my time to see how VATMOSS evolves.
What are your thoughts on VATMOSS and how will it impact your business in 2015? Love to hear your comments.
